Birthday
Tambry had a party for Jessica Thacker, myself, and Teresa Bennett at the Brose's place on the 26th. Jess is the daughter of some Assemblies of God missionaries who live here in Buj and have become dear friends. Teresa is a teacher at the local English school and the wife of Joseph Bennett who is the program manager for WR Burundi's microfinance institution. They have two boys. Nathaniel is six and Noah is three.
On the actual day of my birthday the Thackers took me to lunch and the Brose's treated me to a nice steak dinner! It was a wonderful day.
The following weekend I went up to Kigali for a party to celebrate several of our birthdays. My good friend Sarah h
as the same birthday as me and she and her roommates Sunita and Kristy planned a big party at their place complete with a Mexican buffet, live band and dancing!

Oh my goodness Sara, it sounds like you had the best birthday ever. You and Bekah both. Long and spread out over several days (or weeks in your case).

Sara, it's so good to see pictures of you! I know you don't like being in front of the camera, but you need to do it for those of us who love you and miss you. (I almost cried finally getting to see there.)
