GoGo
Gloriose (or "Gogo") is truly one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen in spite of the fact that smiles such as this one are few and far between. In fact she almost always has a furrowed brow. Gogo was orphaned as an infant and came to the Rainbow Centre until she was well enough to be placed with extended family. The family however, didn't have the means to provide for her as well as their own children so she was locked in a room for days to slowly starve. These are the conditions in which she was found when our social worker Leah went back to check on her as they always do after they place a baby from the RC. Gogo then was brought back to the RC and has been here since but has never fully recovered. Every once in a while she can be distracted enough to smile or even laugh and these are wonderful days indeed! She's been especially clingy this past week and it's hard not to want to hold her every minute when she reaches her arms up and looks at me with such beautiful sad eyes.

Oh my, she is very beautiful child! Her little furrowed brow is so sad, hopefully you'll be able to snap a quick shot of her (I'm sure) adorable smile. Bless you Sara for working with these children. I know it has to be tough but I know you are having more of an impact than you are even aware.
