SURPRISE!

Here I am sitting in my beautiful home town of Gresham, Oregon. I've been scheming for a few months now to fly home for my dearest friend Annie's wedding. I'm so happy that it all worked out and that it turned out to be a fantastic surprise!

I flew into PDX around 11pm on Sunday the 23rd and was greeted by all of my fellow-schemers Mike, Annmarie, Elizabeth, Ben, Adri, and Luke and Jamie and Kim. We all went straight to my parents house. Christy and Jay and kids are staying there at the moment too so it was fun to get everyone out of bed at midnight. Thankfully they didn't mind!

The next morning I went knocking on Annie's door. You can't see it very well but that scream was loud enough to bring a neighbor or two outside to see what the ruckus was all about. Needless to say, we had a very joyful reunion.





And yesterday Annie became Mrs. Wiesman. Here are some pictures from the day...













I've enjoyed seeing so many friends and family and look forward to seeing more in the next week. I'll be here in Oregon until the 14th and back in Burundi on the 16th.
